Thank you for considering to participate in NUS Privacy of AR/VR Headsets Project. This data collection is completed and not accepting new registration.
Our team is conducting research on AR/VR privacy to protect personal data while using AR/VR headsets in gaming or work. In our study, we need to collect the following:
- Eye-tracking data while using AR/VR headsets in two scenarios: 1) free-viewing (similar to watching a movie) and 2) task-oriented (similar to playing a game).
- Limited personal information such as gender, sexual preferences, religious, and political views. This data will be stored with an anonymized unique ID (assigned if you are selected after registration) to ensure your privacy.
Participant criteria:
- Individuals who are Singapore citizens. This is because we will solely examine the political beliefs in Singapore.
- Adults of age between 21 and 63.
- Individuals not diagnosed with epilepsy.
Estimated duration:
- The expected duration of the participation is around 45 minutes (about 15 minutes for the online survey and 30 minutes for the collection of the eye-tracking information, including setting up, familiarization test and rest time).
- The duration of this research is until January 2025.
Once you completed the data collection, you will be reimbursed with
a $40 e-voucher. All data collected will be kept in accordance to the
NUS Research Data Management Policy.
Please carefully read the FAQ and register below only if you understand and agree.
